The Lakers, 15-9 for the season and 6-2 in December, are better than expected and Kobe Bryant still has not been traded. LeBron James and the slow-starting Cavaliers were embarrassed Wednesday in an 18-point loss at New York. Bryant's supporting cast has been exceptional, especially 7-foot Andrew Bynum, and the Lakers are the hotter team.
