Angels left-hander Joe Saunders (13-7, 4.81 ERA) has performed well at Fenway Park, where he's 3-0 with a 2.75 ERA in three starts. Boston's Paul Byrd (1-1, 6.08) allowed two runs in five innings last week in a no-decision against the Orioles at Fenway. The Angels are struggling offensively, after scoring one run Tuesday, and all 13 of their September games have gone under the total.
