UNLV welcomes football recruits

UNLV’s football team is going strong after defensive ends, welcoming four this weekend in a group of six recruits.

The other recruits, quarterback Blake Decker (6 feet 2 inches, 205 pounds) of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College and cornerback Dominique Fenstermacher (5-11, 170) of Phoenix’s Mountain Pointe High School, already have committed to the Rebels.

The defensive ends visiting are Marcus Davenport (6-5, 205) of John Paul Stevens High in San Antonio; Tuivasa Maloata (6-3, 245) of Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.; Jarvis Polu (6-4, 240) of Liberty High; and Joseph Salazar (6-3, 220) of Atascocita High in Humble, Texas.

Polu, who has received numerous scholarships offers, previously committed to Army.
