Lady Rebels throttle Dixie State in exhibition, 100-67

UNLV used a 29-6 run over a 7:21 span in the first half to take a commanding 43-24 lead as the Lady Rebels defeated Dixie State 100-67 in the team’s lone exhibition game Monday at Cox Pavilion.

Dixie had an 18-14 lead with 10:45 to play in the first half. But UNLV turned up the pressure and went on a prolonged run to take command. By halftime, the Lady Rebels were up 53-27 and in complete control. UNLV, which was led by Danielle Miller’s 23 points and 14 from Alana Cesarz, finished the game on a 15-0 run. Amie Callaway had 11 rebounds along with nine points for UNLV. Chermayne Moore led Dixie State with a game-high 24 points.

The Lady Rebels open their 2014-15 regular season at 4 p.m. Friday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Thomas & Mack Center.
