Utah runs away late from Idaho State

SALT LAKE CITY -- Johnnie Bryant scored 17 points, including a rare four-point play down the stretch, to lead Utah to a 68-51 victory over Idaho State on Thursday night.
It was the sixth win in seven games for the Utes (8-3).
Utah led 38-37 midway through the second half and missed a dozen straight 3-point attempts against the Bengals (2-9) at one point but erupted with an 11-0 run.
Bryant, Lawrence Borha and Shaun Green all hit 3-pointers during the run, sandwiched around a steal and fast-break layup by teammate Luka Drca.
Luke Nevill added 14 points and six rebounds for the Utes.
• Texas Christian 79, Jackson State 68 -- At Fort Worth, Texas, Henry Salter had 16 points and Alvardo Parker 15 as the Horned Frogs (8-3) defeated the Tigers (2-11) for their fourth straight victory.
Kevin Langford and Mike Scott each scored 11 points for TCU.
• New Mexico 79, Hawaii 69 -- At Honolulu, Daniel Faris scored 21 points and J.R. Giddens 17 as the Lobos (12-2) beat the Warriors (3-8).
Matt Gibson had 19 points and Bobby Nash 18 for Hawaii, which got within 62-59 with 3:36 left.
