Williams, Lobos top Oklahoma State
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kendall Williams scored 16 points and New Mexico posted its sixth straight win, beating Oklahoma State 66-56 in the All-College Classic on Saturday night.
Drew Gordon added 13 points and 20 rebounds for New Mexico (8-2), which seized control with a 12-0 first-half run, then weathered a second-half rally by Oklahoma State (6-4).
Keiton Page led the Cowboys with 18 points, and Jean-Paul Olukemi scored 16.
Oklahoma State rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to lead 53-52 after a 3-pointer by Olukemi with 7:25 left. But the Cowboys didn't record another basket and scored just three points after that, all on free throws.
New Mexico closed the game on a 14-3 run, keyed by eight points from Hugh Greenwood, who finished with 12 points.
■ Air Force 64, Maryland-Eastern Shore 60 -- At Air Force Academy, Colo., Michael Lyons scored four points in the final 14.6 seconds to help the Falcons (6-2) survive.
■ Denver 79, Boise State 62 -- At Denver, Brian Stafford scored 18 points, Chris Udofia added 17, and the Pioneers (8-2) beat the Broncos (8-3).
