Wranglers to open ECHL season Oct. 19

The Wranglers will open the ECHL season against the Utah Grizzlies on Oct. 19 at Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas’ 72-game schedule for the 2013-14 season was announced Wednesday. Among the highlights are two midnight home games — on Dec. 16 against the Ontario Reign and Feb. 16 against the Colorado Eagles — and the Indoor Winter Classic on Jan. 1 at The Orleans against the Bakersfield Condors.

Mike Madill, a former team captain for the Wranglers, will be entering his first season as the franchise’s head coach and general manager.
