Zylstra’s perfect shooting keys Brigham Young rout

PROVO, Utah -- Brock Zylstra shot 8-for-8, including six 3-pointers, and scored 22 points to carry Brigham Young to an 81-56 victory over San Francisco on Saturday.
Noah Hartsock added 14 points for the Cougars (14-4, 3-1 West Coast), who shot 54 percent from the field and 65 percent on 3-pointers. Brandon Davies supplied 12 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Matt Carlino also had 12 points.
Michael Williams led San Francisco (10-7, 0-3) with 10 points, all in the second half. Perris Blackwell grabbed 10 rebounds for the Dons.
BYU led 42-20 at halftime and increased that lead to 34 points in the second half.
San Francisco shot 33 percent and was 6-for-29 on 3-pointers, missing all 14 first-half attempts from behind the arc.
Cody Doolin hit San Francisco's first 3-pointer in the second half to get the Dons within 43-26, but Zylstra responded with three quick 3s and a dunk to key a 24-7 surge by BYU.
■ UNR 78, Utah State 71 -- At Logan, Utah, Deonte Burton scored 25 points and Dario Hunt supplied 14 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Wolf Pack (12-3, 2-0 Western Athletic) over the Aggies (9-7, 1-1).
Olek Czyz added 14 points for UNR, which never trailed.
Brockeith Pane led Utah State with 21 points and six assists, and Preston Medlin scored 20.
