Clark County recorded 73 new COVID-19 cases and eight additional deaths as the state reported a one-day record of tests for the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
The new cases brought the total for the county to 5,463, while the death toll remained unchanged at 296, according to data posted by the Southern Nevada Health District.
The Southern Nevada Health District said cases that had no hospital discharge data listed were erroneously reported as having been discharged the same day they were admitted.
Racing at Santa Anita Park will continue, most likely three times a week, through June 23 assuming all goes well. Action begins Friday with a nine-race card.
