8.3 percent unemployment — isn’t that special?
Well, waddayano. It's the month after the election and the U.S. unemployment rate is back up over 8 percent. It's now 8.3 percent to be precise.
Of course, no one was fooling around with the numbers to help Obama out for re-election. The unemployment rate dipped under 8 percent two months before the election, then popped back up over 8 percent one month after the election.
It's a Christmas miracle. Or, for American working stiffs, more like a nightmare.
We're now saddled for another 4-plus years with one of the more economically inept presidents in American history. He has not a clue how to fix the economy. He made things worse in his first four years and I have little doubt that he'll make them even worse in the next four years.
Attention all of you private sector Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts: Prepare for things to get worse. There is absolutely no bail out for you.
