A ‘country second’ budget

The myth President Barack Obama and his followers would like to establish is that he is not just a politician. He's "The One" who rises above it all.

Even after the last two years of ineffective leadership domestically and abroad, there are those who still try to sell us that soap.

Nothing shows more clearly how President O is a garden-variety politician than his latest budget proposal.

Here's a fair primer on his budget. The story correctly points out this:

"Obama called his new budget one of 'tough choices and sacrifices,' but most of those cuts would be held off until after the end of his first term."

In other words, he wants a second term more than he wants to correct his own wild and budget-busting spending.

"Country second" ought to be the new Obama bumper sticker.
