A little luster comes off the AG’s star

No matter how you cut it, the dismissal in District Court of Democrat Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto's attempted prosecution of Republican Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki for handling public funds inappropriately ends up making the AG look weak.

She either let her office prosecute a case for political reasons, or she let her office prosecute a case so weak it couldn't even make it through elementary scrutiny.

Not good either way.

The revelation that her husband hosted a fund-raiser for a Krolicki political opponent didn't help either.

Mastos is still a rising star in Nevada in my mind. But she can't afford another embarrassing debacle like this.
