Adventurers recommend Land Rover Las Vegas’ demo course
July 8, 2010 - 11:00 pm
World travelers and Land Rover enthusiasts Buchel Philippe and Samuel Weishaupt recently visited Land Rover Las Vegas during their North American trek. General manager Ray DiNardi
and marketing director Trevor Fagan greeted the adventurous pair and showed them the dealership's driving course.
"They thought our on-site demonstration course replicated what they experienced in the field quite nicely," DiNardi said.
Philippe and Weishaup drive a modified vintage Land Rover Defender. The pair began their journey in Switzerland in October 2006 and have been on the move ever since (with help from a large support team). So far they've tackled challenging terrain in five continents and they're not sure when the journey will end.
Their itinerary, which is flexible to account for inclement weather, political upheavals and economic turmoil, reads like stickers plastered on a dented travel trunk: Australia, Italy, Egypt, Iran, Libya, Syria, Turkey, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, El Salvador and Las Vegas.
