Aliante holds Big Top Celebration

The Oct. 13 Big Top Celebration at the Aliante master-planned community drew thousands of attendees to Nature Discovery Park, according to Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises.

"Once again, we are pleased to bring the American Crown Circus to the Aliante community, free of charge," he said. "As the developer, it is very gratifying for us to see so many people of all generations come out for a day of fun and entertainment in Nature Discovery Park. We look forward to sponsoring more family oriented events and activities in the future and invite all of Southern Nevada to come out and experience the wonderful sense of community that has become a trademark of Aliante."

The fourth annual event featured free performances by the American Crown Circus, which included teams of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists, balancers, clowns, daredevils and other performers.

Other free activities included pumpkin painting, carnival games, a 50-foot circus obstacle course, face painters, juggling clowns and music and entertainment by D.J. Tony.

The event was sponsored by North Valley Enterprises, LLC, the developer of Aliante, and by the builders within Aliante.

The next outdoor event at Aliante will be a Winter Holiday Festival Dec. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.

North Valley Enterprises, LLC, is an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb. Encompassing more than 1,900 acres, Aliante consists of a Primary Village and an Active Adult Village, which will collectively have as many as 7,500 homes, with an anticipated population of about 20,000.

Builders at Aliante include Astoria Homes, Del Webb, KB Home, Lennar, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes. Home prices range from the mid 200,000s to the low $500,000s. In addition, Del Webb is building the age-qualified Sun City Aliante community.

Aliante is bordered roughly by Grand Teton Drive, Centennial Parkway, Decatur Boulevard and Clayton Street. Interstate 215, Las Vegas Beltway, intersects Aliante, providing access to Interstate 15 and U.S. Highway 95, as well as a quick commute to major destinations in the valley.

About 428 acres in Aliante are designated for recreational and public purposes, including the Aliante Golf Club, the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, Deer Springs Park, Aviary Park, more than 24 miles of lighted concrete trails and linear parks, and a natural arroyo.

Proposed plans for Aliante include two elementary schools and a middle school, all of which would be built by the Clark County School District. The community's first school, the Theron H. and Naomi D. Goynes Elementary School, opened in August 2005. A new fire station was opened in April 2004 and the Aliante Library opened in May 2006.

Information regarding new homes and neighborhoods in Aliante can be obtained at the Aliante Information Gallery. To visit, take U.S.-95 north to the I-215 Exit East. Head east on the I-215, exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed south. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Information can also be obtained at AlianteHomes.com or call 866-787-2951.
