American West plans circus event at Coronado

American West will hold a circus event at Coronado Ranch in the southwestern valley from noon to 2 p.m. today. The event will celebrate the home builder's closeout of two Coronado Ranch communities -- Tradition and Heritage.

A juggler, stilt walker, magician and clown will be on hand to entertain home buyers and their families. Complimentary pizza, popcorn and refreshments will be served, while they last.

Home buyers can tour model homes and register for chances to win family four packs to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, scheduled for June 21-24 at Orleans Arena.

"With versatile floor plans, new area schools and loads of nearby conveniences, Coronado Ranch is a long-time favorite of families," said general sales manager Shawn Grundy. "There's no better way to showcase our closeout homes and the best values we've ever offered than with an exciting afternoon of circus activities for the whole family."

Now in its closeout phase, American West Heritage offers seven floor plans, ranging from 1,163 to 1,853 square feet with up to four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Buyers can select from great-room and formal layouts. Architectural features, based on home design, may include a front porch, balcony, island kitchen and game room. Closeout prices start in the low $300,000s.

Starting from the low $400,000s, American West's Tradition is also offering closeout pricing. The neighborhood features four floor plans, measuring 2,222 to 2,727 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Some homes include a study, library, game room or formal dining room.

"All of our homes at Heritage and Tradition have been top sellers since we unveiled the communities and began sales," Grundy said. "Now is the last chance to buy -- these homes are ready for immediate move-ins and come with price tags that can't be beat."

Several choices are also available at American West's Promontory and Kingsbridge neighborhoods at Coronado Ranch, and model homes are open daily for touring.

Promontory offers five single- and two-story designs, ranging from 1,800 to 3,321 square feet, priced from $480,950. Homes have up to six bedrooms and three baths. Selections include three-car garages, game rooms, lofts and studies.

Kingsbridge features six home plans with up to four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths and as many as three stories, in addition to a wide variety of room configurations. Highlights include great rooms, formal dining rooms, master retreats and game rooms, based on plan design. Prices start at $317,500.

Coronado Ranch is located in proximity to retail services and highway access, and within minutes of the Arroyo, an office and retail complex planned on more than 450 acres along Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, between Buffalo Drive and Rainbow Boulevard. The Arroyo will be home to over 1.5 million square feet of retail space, including such tenants as Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Sam's Club.

The current roster of restaurants includes Black Angus Steakhouse, Jason's Deli, Starbucks Coffee, Mimis Café, Chili's, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and PT's Pub. More information on the planned shopping, retail and dining opportunities can be found on the Arroyo Web site.

"All of us at American West are thrilled to offer impressive neighborhoods at great prices in the southwest valley, where life just keeps getting better and better," Grundy said. "Today's circus extravaganza will be the perfect way to kick off summer with the kids."

Model homes within Coronado Ranch are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

To attend the circus extravaganza, take I-215 to Rainbow Boulevard, exit south, proceed to Shelbourne Avenue and turn left to American West Tradition.
