Angle has raised $35,000 for Reid race

Former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle is reporting having raised just over $35,000 for her bid to run against Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., according to Angle's campaign.

The Reno Republican's report to the Federal Election Commission, due today, will show she took in $35,217 in donations through the end of June. Most of that, the campaign said in a news release, came from "individual donors residing in Nevada."

Reid's campaign is reporting overall fundraising of $11 million, including $3.25 million in the last three months, with $7.33 million in cash on hand.

Angle originally had said she wanted to raise $100,000 by May to demonstrate that she could be a viable opponent to Reid. Though she's fallen far short of that, she says she plans to continue her preparations to run against Reid.
