Angle meets with GOP chairman Steele

Continuing her swing through official Washington, Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle met for about a half hour this morning with Michael Steele, the chairman of the Republican National Committee.

It was the first time they had met, a week after Steele pledged resources to help Angle beat incumbent Sen. Harry Reid.

RNC spokesman Jahan Wilcox said the party plans to open offices in Las Vegas and Reno, although no details yet on staffing or other assistance the national party might commit to Nevada.

"He came away impressed with her," Wilcox said.

The Nevadan was expected to make several other private appearances before conservative gatherings today. This morning she was scheduled to appear before the Center Right Coalition, put together by anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist.
