Angle raises nearly $600,000

U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle says she has raised $582,941 so far in her quest to challenge Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Of that, she raised $368,941 in the fourth quarter. Angle did not report how much her campaign has banked.

Angle, a former assemblywoman from Reno, is considered by many the most conservative of about nine Republicans seeking the nomination to challenge Reid.

In statewide polling she trails Las Vegas businessman Danny Tarkanian and former Nevada GOP chairwoman Sue Lowden.

Other candidates who have reported fund raising results in full or partially include Tarkanian, who says he raised $648,622, Lowden, who says she raised about $800,000 and investment banker John Chachas, who says he has raised $1.9 million to date against spending to $227,736, leaving about $1.7 million in cash on hand.
