Angle/Reid poll — Reid scribe cannot contain bodily fluid

It's is almost funny to watch Jon "I Heart Harry Reid" Ralston twitch and scratch himself in anticipation of the first Review-Journal/8 News Now Poll poll of the general election.
Ralston's been so unbalanced in his reporting on polls this election season, as he has been on the Reid/Angle race generally. He may as well have been a line-time in the Re-Elect Reid Campaign. In the primary, for example, he took every opportunity to criticize the R-J polls while at the same time touting other polls, such as the KOS polling in Nevada. The KOS poll generally showed results for liberal candidates a point or two better than the R-J's. As it turned out, the R-J polling was straight-up on the money (as it has been for a decade) and the Ralston touted KOS polling is headed to court because the polling firm may have simply made up the KOS poll numbers to make liberal candidates look better.
And now, Ralston's all a-twitter about the first R-J poll of the general election ... in particular the poll on the Reid/Angle U.S. Senate race. He's almost beside himself, stamping his feet, holding his breath to know the results.
Ask yourself this: If Ralston thinks the R-J polls are so bad, why does he even care?
The answer is simple. He cares because he knows It's the best polling out there. To make matters worse for himself, he speculates that the R-J will play up the poll if Angle looks good in the polls, or play down the poll if Reid looks more favorable. Let me remind Jon that this is the R-J, not the Sun. We're No. 1 and still in business ... for a reason.
We do polling not to help one candidate or another. We do polling to empower readers with information. We play the news straight-up. In that vein, let me remind Jon that his newspaper has yet to report that Nevada is now No. 1 in the nation for unemployment. Think about that for a second.
But here's the funny part ... when the results are out, what will Ralston do? If Angle is up, or close, will he "dis" the poll as usual. What if Reid is up, or running away with it? Will our poll suddenly become "legit"?
