AROUND TOWN: Chamber music comes to federal courthouse

The Desertwind Trio will perform a free lunchtime chamber music concert Friday, May 15 at the Lloyd D. George Federal Courthouse.

The public is welcome to drop by between noon and 1 p.m. to catch the show in the Jury Assembly Room.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch. Tables will be set up in the jury room.

The trio is made up of Naldo Posella on cello, Kim De Libero on harp and Laraine Kaizer-Viazovtsev on violin. They will play the works of early 20th-century composers Ilgar, Respighi and Ibert.

The performance is part of the city of Las Vegas’ Downtown Cultural Series. The federal courthouse is at 333 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
