AROUND TOWN: Firefighters looking for old bikes

Tough times are especially tough for local charitable organizations, which still have a high demand to meet even if they're not receiving as much assistance as they usually do.

For the eighth straight year, Las Vegas firefighters are accepting gently used or new bikes for the Adopt-A-Bike program. Donations so far this year have been very light. Donations for the program may be dropped off until Dec. 20 at the following locations: Fire Station 41, 6989 N. Buffalo Drive; Fire Station 43, 6420 Smoke Rancho Road; Fire Station 44, 771 W. Washington Ave.; and Fire Station 54, 5438 Camino Al Norte.
