AROUND TOWN: Group to celebrate Home Education Awareness Week

The Nevada Homeschool Network is hosting a celebration of Home Education Awareness Week, this week, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lone Mountain Park, 4445 N. Jensen St. Homeschoolers throughout the valley are urged to attend, and the event also is open to the public.

Cap’n Dave Eisenstein will be in attendance with an array of fossils, as well as the Metropolitan Police Department Mounted Police, the Nellis Amateur Radio Club and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue. Nevada Homeschool Network representatives also will be available to talk about homeschooling laws, resources and support groups.
