AROUND TOWN: High schoolers to show artwork at Third Thursday event

Come inside the brick building at 3 Army St. in Henderson and see what the City Lights Artists’ Co-Op and Gallery has in store on May 21.

From 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the gallery will be open for viewing and gallery director Al Matwiejow is providing free punch and cake for those who visit during the third Thursday celebration.

As an added bonus, student art work from budding young artists attending Coronado and Foothill high schools will be on display in addition to the professional work.

City Lights is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on third Thursdays.
