AROUND TOWN: Master sommelier to give wine tasting on Thursday

Did you know that there are 94 master sommeliers in the United States? Well there are, and the very first certified wine specialist was Eddie Osterland. He’ll be speaking, and leading a wine tasting, during the monthly lunch for the Las Vegas Hospitality Association. Listen as he tells his story about how he went from being a psychology major from New Jersey to a master sommelier. Guaranteed to be a fascinating tale. The lunch is scheduled for March 19 at Smith and Wollensky, 3767 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Check-in is at 11:30 a.m., lunch is at noon. The cost is $35 for members; $45 for nonmembers.
