AROUND TOWN: Recycle your Christmas tree
Clark County and other organizations will continue the popular tree recycling program again this year. Take your old Christmas trees to one of the locations through Jan 15. The trees will be chipped and turned into mulch, which will then be used in landscaping projects. Mulching helps keep soil moist and contributes to plant health.
All foreign objects, including wire, tinsel, lights and nails, must be removed before dropping off the trees, as they can damage the chipper and contaminate the mulch. Flocked trees cannot be recycled.
The locations are open 24 hours.
