Art auction at Lexus to aid animal shelter
September 21, 2012 - 1:09 am
Art aficionados are invited to a special reception today at Lexus of Henderson for the opportunity to bid on fine art in a charity auction to benefit The Animal Foundation.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a preview of the available art and continues with the auction, which is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. in the auto dealership's showroom, 7736 Eastgate Road, Henderson.
The collection of art, presented by the Road Show Co., features works by Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, LeRoy Neiman, Michael Godard, Peter Max, Marc Chagall and other modern masters, celebrities and contemporary artists. The auction includes originals, lithographs and hand-signed giclee prints ranging in value from several hundred dollars to museum-quality heritage pieces offered at "rare value prices."
A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit The Animal Foundation, which operates Nevada's largest animal shelter and adoption center. More than 50,000 homeless and unwanted animals are brought to the shelter each year.
Reservations for the auction are requested and can be made at www.animalfoundation.com/artauction.
