Author seeks subjects for Sept. 11 project

Christine Pisera Naman’s son was born on Sept. 11, 2001. He was a ray of hope shining on a tragic day, who also brought with him the idea for a book.

Naman compiled photographs of children born on Sept. 11, 2001, in “Faces of Hope.” Now, in commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks, she announces a new project that will again focus on the children, but will include their thoughts and reflections on being born on such a day.

The author is seeking Nevada children born on Sept. 11, 2001, and their parents who would like to be included in her new book. A percentage of the proceeds from the book will be donated to charity.

“Faces of Hope: Babies Born on 9/11” received heightened attention after one of its subjects, 9-year-old Christina Taylor-Green, was killed in the Jan. 8 Tucson, Ariz., shootings.

If you have or know a child who was born on Sept.11, 2001, and would like to be contacted to discuss his or her inclusion in Naman’s new book, contact her at cpnfacesofhope@aol.com.
