Back-back-room meetings
The New York Times reports Democratic Party big shots have met privately to avoid a trainwreck at the party's convention in Denver this summer.
The second graph in the NYTimes story sums it up: "Democratic Party officials said that in the past week Mr. (Al) Gore and other leading Democrats had held private talks as worry mounted that the close race between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton could be decided by a group of 795 party insiders known as superdelegates."
In other words, back-room meetings to avoid back-room meetings.
You can't make this stuff up.
