Batt chiefs not the same as fire department management

This came in this morning from the Clark County Director of Public Communications Erik R. Pappa. My apologies to anyone incorrectly lumped into the outrageous OT scam.

    "Thought you might want to correct that. I assume you are referring to some battalion chiefs. These batt chiefs have their own bargaining unit and are separate from Fire Dept. management, who are the chief and deputy chiefs, who are in turn, of course, overseen by the County Manager's Office.
 
    "Fire Dept. management has been trying to get the tools in place to reign in sick leave abuse in recent years and only were able to do so through the most recent changes in the firefighters' contract, thanks to the arbitrator who sided with the county.
 
    "Could you please consider updating...?
