Bellagio robber gets only 3 years?
Something doesn't look right in the sentencing of Anthony Carleo, the gun-toting robber of the Bellagio. He got 3-11 years.
You point a loaded gun at people in a casino, rob the place, and get a sentence that could find you out of jail before a routine car lease is up?
The guilty party is the kid of a former muni judge (and a good judge, I am told). Can't say that any punches were pulled because of that connection. I don't know. But I'm pretty sure if you surveyed past armed robbery cases, you'd find a 36-month minimum unusually low.
Am I wrong about this?
