Berkley, Titus on housing task force

Nevadans Shelley Berkley and Dina Titus say they have become part of a new Democratic task force on the foreclosure crisis.

Berkley is a co-leader along with Rep. Dennis Cardoza of California on the Task Force on Housing Stabilization.

The group of House lawmakers aims to draw more attention to the issues of home values, and government lending programs and foreclosure assistance.

Berkley called it "an opportunity to refocus the conversation on America's housing crisis."

Cardoza said the group will "study what is and isn't working as we work toward improving the federal response to this crisis.”
