Best-selling author promoting literacy in Las Vegas

Brandon Mull, best-selling author of the children’s “Fablehaven” series, is coming to Las Vegas to promote literacy.
Mull will be speaking to students during assemblies at elementary and middle schools around the Las Vegas Valley March 1-2 and then will head to Moapa, Logandale and Overton on March 3 for additional school speaking engagements.
The school events are closed to the public, but for other readers who enjoy the “Fablehaven” series, Mull will be signing books at 6:30 p.m. March 2 at Deseret Book, 7650 W. Sahara Ave.
The final book in the series, “Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison,” hits stores March 23. The series “follows the adventures of a brother and sister who set out to save a preserve for enchanted creatures,” according to the publisher. And in the finale, “allegiances will be confirmed and secrets revealed as the forces of light and darkness collide in a desperate struggle to control the keys to the demon prison Zzyzx."
