Body found on fire behind Los Angeles 7-Eleven

A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found burning in front of a Los Angeles 7-Eleven.

Firefighters responded about 6 a.m. Wednesday to the area of 94th Street and La Brea Avenue, according to KTLA. County Fire Supervisor Robert Diaz said members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department found a deceased man on fire in the alley behind the convenience store.

It is unknown what led to the incident.

A watch commander with the Inglewood Police Department said they are treating the case as a homicide.

The exact cause of death has yet to be determined and the name and age of the man have not been released.

According to The Los Angeles Times Homicide Report, there have been six homicides in the past year within a mile of Wednesday’s discovery.
