I saw this story by The Associated Press and thought readers might be interested. This should make Crichton fans happy. Also a little bonus news about Robert Jordan.

NEW YORK — Two new Michael Crichton novels, one of them unfinished, have been scheduled for release.
Publisher HarperCollins announced Monday that "Pirate Latitudes," an adventure story set in Jamaica during the 17th century, will come out this fall.
HarperCollins says the novel recently was found in the files of Crichton, who died last year of cancer at age 66.
A techno-thriller, about one-third completed and currently untitled, will come out in 2010. A co-author, yet to be determined, will help finish the book.
Crichton's many best-sellers included "Jurassic Park" and "State of Fear."
In other book news, Tor Books announced the release date for the late Robert Jordan's "The Gathering Storm." The 12th book in the "Wheel of Time" series is to go on sale Nov. 3 and is the first in the "A Memory of Light" trilogy, which will conclude Jordan's best-selling series.
The final three books, completed by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan's death in 2007, will be released over a two-year period.
