Bullrun Road Rally to cross Las Vegas finish line

If you see dozens of unusual cars driving on downtown Las Vegas roadways later today, you’ll be watching the official conclusion of a cross-country trek that began last week in New York City.

Fifty exotic automobiles are expected to arrive between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Fremont Street Experience, the race’s finish line. The annual 3,000-mile rally includes the M2/TASER Foundation Team and 48 other teams that vied for the top prize: the Bullrun Navigator Belt.

Taser Team drivers Al Kenney and Mike Kalfus dedicate their 3,000-mile journey to the families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Their 2009 Aston Martin Vantage, dubbed “007,” displays the TASER Foundation shield and the names of the men and women who gave their lives serving their communities during the first months of this year.

If you’re among crowd members, you may even wind up on TV. Who knows? That’s because the rally is set to be featured on the show “Cops, Cars & Superstars.” Also, you may get to meet one of the celebrity drivers who participated in the rally.
