Buyer ends search at Belcerro Village
Terri Miller said she looked for a home in the southern area of the Las Vegas Valley, and found one at Richmond American's Belcerro Village in Southern Highlands.
"I owned a townhouse and was actually looking at condos, but then I discovered I could afford to buy a detached home there," she said. "The RichmondAmerican.com Web site was easy to use, and the virtual tour feature was really nice."
Priced from the low $300,000s, Belcerro Village is one of three Richmond American neighborhoods set within Southern Highlands.
"I really like the Southern Highlands area," said Miller, who moved into her new home in June. "Now I can have my dream backyard, yet the yard isn't too big to manage."
She chose the Montecito, a two-story home priced from the $310,000s.
"All I could say when I walked inside was 'Wow.' The living room and dining room are so dramatic. With the high ceilings, the 12-foot ficus tree I've raised for 25 years fits right next to my piano."
The Montecito offers 1,800 square feet with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and an attached two-car garage.
The main floor features an entry with volume ceilings, with a formal living room off to one side and a dining room to the other. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite can be enhanced with an optional retreat and fireplace.
Miller selected one of the quick move-in homes at Belcerro Village, allowing her to move through the construction process more quickly.
A model of the Montecito is open for touring at Belcerro Village, along with three other homes. The largest floor plan is the Newport, priced from the $320,000s. This four-bedroom home offers three baths and 2,050 square feet. The main floor features a bedroom that can be selected as an optional den, and the second level includes a tech center.
Also priced from the $320,000s is the Laguna, featuring four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and 2,000 square feet.
The entry features vaulted ceilings, with a staircase off to one side and a formal living and dining area to the other. The family room, kitchen and nook offer an open layout, and the kitchen includes a food preparation island. Upstairs, a master retreat is available in lieu of the fourth bedroom.
Priced from the low $300,000s, the Cambria features three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 1,600 square feet. The main level includes a kitchen with a nook, a formal dining room and a great room with an optional fireplace.
Upstairs is the master bedroom suite with private bath and walk-in closet, two secondary bedrooms, a full bath and a laundry room.
