Buyers choose Pardee home at Mountain’s Edge

When Joshua and Stephanie Barney relocated to Las Vegas from Arizona in 2007, they found Pardee Homes provided a residence that met their needs at the La Puerta neighborhood at the Mountain's Edge community in the southwest.

"We had owned two homes previously and really learned from those experiences," Stephanie Barney said. "When we moved here last year and started looking at new home communities, it didn't take us long to realize that we wanted to live in a Pardee home."

The couple purchased Residence Two, which measures about 1,598 square feet in a single-story design with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage.

"We have been very impressed with Pardee Homes, from the sales representatives to the customer service representatives, and impressed by the quality of features in our home," Joshua Barney said. "We looked at homes that were less expensive, but we knew we wanted a house where we could raise a family and call home for many years, and we found that at La Puerta."

The couple also praised the Mountain's Edge community.

"Mountain's Edge reminds us of our favorite master-planned community in Arizona," Joshua Barney said.

"We love Exploration Park and are excited about other amenities to come. And, we're really not far away from the city -- I can make it to pick up friends and family at the airport in just 20 minutes," Stephanie Barney said.

La Puerta's one- and two-story floor plans feature up to five bedrooms in about 1,534 to 2,414 square feet. Prices range from about $319,450 to $380,450.

La Puerta offers four floor plans, including the single-story Residence One and Residence Two.

Residence One measures about 1,534 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage, while Residence Two measures about 1,598 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage with an optional den in lieu of the dining room.

Residence Three includes about 1,962 square feet in a two-story design with three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, den and two-car garage. It is available with an optional fourth bedroom and third bath in lieu of the den.

The two-story Residence Four measures about 2,414 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths, loft and three-car garage.

The floor plan can be built with a fifth bedroom in lieu of the loft and flex space in lieu of garage space.

To visit La Puerta at Mountain's Edge, take State Route 160 west to Buffalo Drive and turn left into Mountain's Edge. Proceed south on Buffalo to Cactus Avenue and turn left and follow the signs.

Pardee Homes' sales offices and model complexes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday when they open at 11 a.m.

Summer hours begin on Sunday with sales offices closing at 6 p.m.
