Carmen Electra — Third time’s the charm?

Carmen Electra is set to make her debut in a Las Vegas show — finally — by spending a week as guest star of the topless cabaret revue “MGM Grand's Crazy Horse Paris" July 8-13.
Twice before, the 37-year-old celebrity has danced up to the edge of Vegas stardom. In 2001, Electra was so close to starring in a magic-themed production show called “Lumiere” that she did publicity interviews and photos. But the show never opened, going down with the bankruptcy of the Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood).
And Electra dodged a bullet — or smelled a stinker — when she backed out of “The Beauty of Magic” at Planet Hollywood in 2007; producers said she was averse to being jammed into claustrophobic prop spaces. Pam Anderson replaced her in the show that quickly bombed.
The MGM Grand revue has had only one other guest star, burlesque queen Dita Von Teese.
