CD3: Ad too hot for Colorado still plays in Las Vegas

Colorado television stations have yanked an accusing Democrats of voting to give Viagra to convicted rapists, but a version of the ad is still running in Las Vegas.

The ad from American Action Network, a Republican-leaning independent expenditure group, has been deemed misleading by non-partisan observers.

According to CQ Politics, stations in Colorado agreed to pull the ads.

"We felt after investigating some of the claims they made that they were inaccurate and that their supporting material didn't support the claims, and, in fact, contradicted them," said Steve Rabb, who serves as manager of special projects and research for the parent company of one of the Colorado stations.

The ad is airing in Las Vegas against incumbent Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev. Titus' opponent, Republican Joe Heck, has refused to condemn the ad despite previous statements denouncing misleading advertising.
