VOLUNTEER SNOW HOSTS SOUGHT
FOR MOUNT CHARLESTON

The U.S. Forest Service is looking for volunteers to be snow hosts on Mount Charleston, providing roadside information about snow play opportunities and engaging visitors at those sites.

Snow hosts will help visitors have fun while reducing the impacts on the forest environment. Experience volunteering in a similar setting is a plus. Volunteers should be at least 18 years old and be able to work outdoors in the cold.

Volunteer hours will be on the weekends and holidays, and the average shifts range between three and six hours.

A minimum commitment of two shifts per month is required, and volunteers are needed until the end of March.

An orientation for interested volunteers is scheduled at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 and 18 at REI, 710 S. Rampart Blvd.

LAMB OF GOD LUTHERAN CHURCH
PLANS HOLIDAY CAROLS ON SUNDAY

The Lamb of God Lutheran Church invites community members to its Christmas Carol Sing Spectacular at 4 p.m. Sunday at 6220 N. Jones Blvd.

A mix of soloists and groups will sing, and a sing-along of Christmas hymns and favorites is planned. Music will be provided by church musicians.

Whole Foods Market plans its Grab & Give program through Dec. 31. Shoppers can purchase and donate meals and other essentials for families in need.

As donations come in, Whole Foods Market stores will give them to partner nonprofit charities, which will distribute the items to local families in need.
