TAKE EDUCATIONAL WALK
TO LEARN ABOUT LOCAL TRAILS
Join walking groups to learn about where local trails are and how to keep them beautiful during two upcoming events.
The Outside Las Vegas Foundation is slated to host two-, three- and six-mile fun walks Saturday and Dec. 11.
The Saturday walk is set to kick off at 10 a.m. at 7501 W. Washington Ave., and the Dec. 11 event is planned for 10 a.m. at 825 Marion Drive.

WINTER BREAK CAMPS TO INCLUDE TRADITIONAL, UNIQUE ACTIVITIES
Registration is open for winter break camps at the Centennial Hills YMCA, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive.
Campers can enjoy swimming, group games and character development from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 19-23 and Dec. 26-30. The fee is $133 a week or $45 a day.
Specialty camps also are planned.
Sweet Treat Bakers invites campers to bake holiday treats from cultures around the world, Dec. 19-22. The fee is $179 for the week.
Playground Games gets campers competitive juices flowing with wall ball, dodge ball and foursquare, Dec. 26-30. The week culminates in a tournament. The fee is $179 for the week.
Pottery camp is slated to include different clay mediums and painting, Dec. 26-30. The fee is $183 for the week.

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES PLANNED
AT CENTENNIAL HILLS ACTIVE ADULT CENTER
Two holiday-themed events are planned at the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive.
Get into the holiday spirit with a gingerbread house and train making and tree-trimming event planned for 10 a.m. Friday. The fee is $5.
A potluck and trimming of the center's Christmas tree is planned for 11:30 a.m. Monday. The event is free with a dish to share.
Membership for the center is $2 a year and includes access to all activities, some of which may have an additional charge.
The center is set to be closed Dec. 26-Jan. 2 and reopen Jan. 3.

STORY TIME TO HIGHLIGHT
NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE
Immerse youngsters in Native American culture and literature during a story time planned for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Centennial Hills Library, 6711 N. Buffalo Drive.
The free event is aimed at children ages 6-11.
The event open to the public. Space is limited. Passes will be handed out starting a half-hour before the program.
