SALON OFFERING PORTION OF PROCEEDS
TO THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK
La Femme Salon, 7785 N. Durango Drive, Suite 125, is giving holiday spirit a new look this December.
The salon plans to give 10 percent of proceeds from services to Three Square food bank through the end of the month.
The nonprofit Three Square distributes more than 22 million pounds of food and groceries to Southern Nevadans each year.
The salon offers hair, nail, anti-aging and permanent makeup services.
Walk-ins are welcome.

ACTORS AND SINGERS SOUGHT
FOR HOLLYWOOD KIDS ACADEMY PLAY
Registration is open for aspiring actors and singers between the ages of 5 and 19 interested in participating in the Hollywood Kids Academy for the Performing Arts performance of "Disney's Mulan Jr."

EXPRESS WHY YOU LOVE CENTENNIAL HILLS FOR CHANCE TO WIN DINNER AND A MOVIE
Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross invites Ward 6 residents to express -- in three minutes or less -- why they love Centennial Hills.
The video contest is open to all area residents, but city of Las Vegas employees and their family are ineligible.
The videos must include family-oriented content and be uploaded to YouTube.com. Participants must email the embedded YouTube link to videocontest
@lasvegasnevada.gov by Dec. 31.
Winners are to receive dinner for four at Leticia's Mexican Cocina, 7585 Norman Rockwell Lane, and a movie at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive. The winner is scheduled to be announced in January.
The videos are slated to be judged by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Ross, City Manager Elizabeth Fretwell and Communications Director David Riggleman.
The winning video is to be featured on the city's website, lasvegasnevada.gov.
GROUP SEEKS TO FEED DOGS, CATS
BY COLLECTING CANNED PET FOOD
C.A.T.S. Inc., a nonprofit organization that distributes donated cat and dog food to residents and shelters in hard times, is collecting unopened dry or canned food through the end of December.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES COLLECTING TURKEYS
Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is in need of turkeys for Thanksgiving. The social service program is providing turkeys and groceries to families in need.
This holiday season, Catholic Charities expects that more than 4,000 families will come seeking Thanksgiving baskets. The organization needs turkeys and traditional Thanksgiving dinner fixings.
Individuals or organizations that would like to help by donating turkeys, canned or nonperishable food can call 385-2662 or deliver donations to Catholic Charities, 1501 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

BUSINESS NETWORK PLANS MIXER

The Large Vision Business Network plans a mixer from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive.
The Mega Mixer Consumer Expo is set to include more than 50 area businesses showcasing their products and services. The Chefs Corner will serve up bites of holiday flavors. Holiday music and a gingerbread house competition are planned. The first 200 children in line to greet Santa will receive a stocking-stuffer gift.
