A community summer health fair is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 at Centennial Hills Hospital & Medical Center, 6900 N. Durango Drive.
Free blood pressure checks, bone density tests and glucose and cholesterol screenings are to be offered from 10 a.m. to noon.
Balloon artists and face painters will be on hand to welcome kids of all ages, with the first 100 attendees to receive free first-aid kits. Hospital tours will be offered to meet the staff and learn about emergency room visits.

RTC TRANSIT PASSES AVAILABLE AT CIRCLE K
Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada transit riders can purchase transit passes at 31 Circle K locations throughout the valley, including at 425 W. Centennial Parkway.
Riders can purchase 30- or 15-day passes . Full-fare and reduced-fare passes will be available .
A 30-day full-fare pass is $65, and a 15-day full-fare pass is $34. A 30-day reduced-fare pass is $32.50, and a 15-day reduced-fare pass is $17. Reduced-fare passes require an RTC reduced fare identification card.

FORECLOSED UPON PETS TO HOST ADOPTIONS AT WHOLE FOODS
Foreclosed Upon Pets Inc. plans to host dog adoptions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 25 at Whole Foods Market, 8855 W. Charleston Blvd.
The group rescues domesticated animals that have been abused and/or abandoned by their owners as a result of economic hardship, including home foreclosure, loss of employment, insufficient income and illness.

CITY SEEKS INPUT ON BUDGET PRIORITIES
The city of Las Vegas is working on its tentative budget for July 2013 to June 2014.
The city works toward a final budget, it wants to hear from residents regarding funding priorities and whether they would be willing to pay more for certain services.
