Immaculate Flave and One Sun Clothing plan to present Cool World Vegas at 9 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Cheyenne Saloon, 3103 N. Rancho Drive. The monthly showcase of hip-hop, electro and glitch artists is set to feature performances from CannabiDroids featuring Masta X-Kid, Sue Falls, Mr. Indica, The Reign, Sea One, Showcas3 and Two Purcent. The Lee Canyon Mountain Fest is planned for Aug. 31 at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, 6725 Lee Canyon Road. Live music, a beer garden, whiskey tasting, a horseshoe competition and a barbecue are planned. The cost is $10 in advance or $15 the day of the event. The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, 6725 Lee Canyon Road, is scheduled to operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays until Sept. 2. Free lawn games, hiking and mountain biking are available. Chairlift rides are $10, and disc golf is $17. For the remainder of the season, the resort plans to donate 20 percent of ticket sales from chairlift rides to the Mount Charleston Volunteer Fire Department. Camping also is available. HealthCare Partners Nevada and Humana are sponsoring 6,000 free tickets for a Beach Boys concert and Fun After 55 Good Vibrations Expo set for Sept. 2 at the South Point Arena, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Visit any of HealthCare Partners’ primary care or cardiology clinics in Southern Nevada or Humana’s two guidance centers (8975 W. Charleston Blvd. in Summerlin or 1000 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson) to pick up free tickets.

The 2013 season of Super Summer Theatre is into its last show at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, roughly 10 miles west of the Las Vegas Beltway on Charleston Boulevard/state Route 159. The Las Vegas Harvest Festival’s Arts and Crafts Show is planned from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 6-7 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Crafts are to include woodcarvings, jewelry, pottery, clothing, toys, paintings, food and more. General admission tickets are $9, but attendees who bring in a can of food, baby food, formula or paper products will receive $2 off. Senior tickets are $7, and children 13-17 are $4. Weekly children’s events at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., will include story time, scheduled from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Mondays at the activities center, and toddler time for children 5 or younger, scheduled for 11 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays in the library. Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s sustainable farmers market is set to be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday inside the Desert Living Center at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. Admission is free, and purchases are cash only.

Three sea-based traveling exhibits are set to be on display through August at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, 900 Las Vegas Blvd. North. “Sea Monsters” explores scary characteristics of undersea dwellers; “Discovery Reef” looks at the interconnection of coral reefs; and “Sanctuary Reef” features a replica of a coral reef in the Florida Keys and discusses the human impact on it. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students, seniors and military personnel, $5 for children 3 to 11 and free for children 2 or younger. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Impressionist and comedian Dave Burleigh plans to perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive. Burleigh plans to return to the showroom on the first Wednesday of every month. Tickets are $15. Call 702-658-4900.
