Centex Homes offers ‘easy’ move, includes packing, closing, cleaning

Centex Homes' Easy Move program helps home buyers transition from their current home to a new Centex home, according to Dennis Gregg, sales executive for the home builder.

Buyers who take advantage of the program receive professional assistance selling, packing, moving and cleaning their home for new occupants.

"We're one of few builders to offer a structured contingency program that prevents a buyer from having to close on a new Centex home before his home is sold," Gregg said. "The program is very popular among buyers because it eliminates the uncertainty from the process, protects their earnest money and relieves stress that can be associated with a household move."

Under the terms of the program, home buyers can opt to enroll in Centex Homes' Easy Move program at the time of a new home purchase. A real estate professional markets and sells the Centex buyer's current residence.

"With the help of our collaborative partners, the program is a great success for Centex," Greg said.

Edward and Cheryl Miller made use of the program when they purchased at Centex's Latourell Falls neighborhood at Waterfall in North Las Vegas. A relocation specialist met with the couple and assigned them a real estate agent who helped sell their southeast Las Vegas home.

"We received a percentage of the sale price of our home when we closed at Latourell Falls," Edward Miller said. "Our closings were just one week apart."

The Millers said it all amounted to a headache-free move. "We didn't have to pack, move or unload. The movers did everything for us and that was worth a few thousand right there. They packed us up like we were moving across the country," said Edward Miller, who is retired. Cheryl Miller is a self-employed insurance agent.

He continued, "The program relieved the stress of moving for both of us, and really relieved Cheryl from worrying about how I might be packing while she was at work."

The Millers purchased the 2,261-square-foot Sunset floor plan, at Latourell Falls, one of four private gated neighborhoods in Centex Homes' Waterfall community.

A few homes remain available, with the neighborhood now in its closeout phase.

The three floor plans range from 1,955 to 2,261 square feet and are priced from the low $300,000s.

Two homes are available for June closings. They include granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and upgraded flooring. Later 2007 closing dates are planned for Latourell Falls' final home sites.

Centex's Aberdeen Falls is in its closeout phase and features a variety of single- and two-story floor plans.

The Angeline Falls and Isabel Falls collections within the Waterfall development by Centex include designs measuring from 1,750 to 3,807 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths.

Designs may include a casita, den, morning room, bonus room, loft, three-car garage and dual owner's suites. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

Each neighborhood has its own private park.

Amenities include tot lots, play equipment, picnic areas, climbing wall, water splash play area and numerous shady spots for reading and relaxation.

Residents also have use of Waterfall's swimming pool and recreation center with private workout facility.

Located in North Las Vegas near the Aliante master-planned community, Waterfall offers access to U.S. Highway 95 and Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.

New schools, restaurants and major shopping centers are within proximity, as well as year-round recreational areas like Mt. Charleston and Floyd Lamb State Park.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when model homes open at noon.

To visit, take the Las Vegas Beltway to Aliante Parkway and exit north. Turn left on Moonlight Falls and follow the signs to Waterfall.
