Centex offers two-night stay in model home at Ardiente

Centex Homes' Ardiente, a North Las Vegas age-qualified community, is offering visitors a chance to test drive the community before they buy.

As part of its Year-end Savings Event the company is offering prospective home buyers a three-day, two-night stay at one of the furnished model homes in the community, according to Sabrina Torblaa, a Centex sales executive.

The guests are welcomed to use Ardiente's 13,000-square-foot clubhouse, which houses resort-style amenities such as two swimming pools, an equipped fitness center, card and billiard rooms and a fireside lounge. There also is a putting green, chipping green, tennis courts, six parks and walking trails with fitness stations.

"A stay-and-play weekend is the perfect way to experience everything Ardiente offers, from the livable floor plans to the close-knit community setting to the resort-style amenities," Torblaa said. "Some buyers have never lived in a guard-gated community, so this opportunity removes their apprehension and shows them the many rewards of the active adult lifestyle. It's perfect as a primary residence or as a second-home investment opportunity."

Torblaa said locals use it as a chance to lure out-of-state friends or relatives to Ardiente.

"Many Southern Nevadans have friends or parents who love the Ardiente concept, but it's difficult for them to commit without experiencing the community in person. That's where the stay-and-play program comes in," Torblaa said. "They make plans to vacation in Southern Nevada for a week, stay on the Strip for a few days and then stay at Ardiente. We receive incredible feedback. Everyone agrees that it's the ultimate home-shopping experience."

Ardiente's two stay-and-play homes, the Cordoba and Valencia designs, are inspired by single-story floor plans offered within the community.

The Cordoba floor plan measures 1,596 square feet and includes two bedrooms, two full baths and a den. Dual walk-in closets separate the master suite from the bath. Additional highlights include a great room, island kitchen and dining room.

Measuring 1,802 square feet, the Valencia plan has three bedrooms, a den and two full baths. The layout includes a kitchen nook, dual walk-in closets off the owner's suite and a walk-in closet in a secondary bedroom.

In addition to Cordoba and Valencia, home buyers can choose from six other single-story floor plans. Ardiente's home designs range from 1,235 to 2,813 square feet with as many as three bedrooms and three baths. Some plans include a den, dining room, eating nook, courtyard, studio, gallery or music room.

Structural variations, based on floor plan, allow for a sunroom, office, guest suite and second floor. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Interior features include kitchen pantries, laundry room cabinets, upgraded baseboards, raised-panel interior doors and ceiling fans in select areas. Master bath highlights include cultured marble vanity tops, a contoured Roman tub, separate shower stall and chrome fixtures.

Homes are prewired for a security alarm system and cable in all rooms. Homes come with a soft-water loop, low-emittance windows and an energy-saving insulated gas water heater.

Homes are Energy Star certified and come with Centex Homes' Two-Year Fit and Finish Warranty, which extends the normal one-year coverage to two years at no extra cost, Torblaa said.

In addition to the Year-End Savings Event, Centex Homes offers incentive programs to educators, health care providers, firefighters and law enforcement personnel as well as active, reserve, retired and veteran military members, according to Torblaa. For more information, visit centexvegas.com.
