Centex promotes open floor plans within StoneBrook
June 24, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Centex Homes' StoneBrook neighborhood in North Las Vegas features open, single-story floor plans, which have become popular among home buyers, according to sales executive Ileana George.
"Home buyers know land is expensive and they see so much value in our all single-story neighborhood," George said. "They appreciate that they won't have two-story homes overshadowing them. That draws people here. Once buyers see the well-designed floor plans with customization options, they know they've found their ideal neighborhood."
The gated neighborhood of 111 home sites offers five single-story floor plans ranging from 1,235 to 1,783 square feet. All of the home designs include three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage.
Each plan contains features such as the front kitchen nook in the Onyx plan, the Platinum plan's flex space and the media niche included in the Topaz plan's living room.
Structural variations, based on home design, allow for a sunroom, den, back patio or dual back patios.
"The sunroom gives the sense of an indoor-outdoor room and adds to the open feel of the floor plans, which are already bright and allow for lots of natural light," said George, noting the abundant windows and 9-foot-high ceilings standard to every plan.
Prices in the gated neighborhood start in the low $200,000s, with HOA dues totalling less than $100 a month, according to George, "which is exceptional considering we're a gated community of cul de sac homes. That means very little traffic."
Three exterior elevations per floor plan offer choices that include stonework, shutters and distinctive arches.
Interiors include built-in ledges, niches and pot shelves, per plan, overhead recessed lighting in select areas and his-and-her sinks in owner's baths. A soft-water loop for a water softener is standard. Homes are prewired for ceiling fans in family rooms and owner's suites and for accessible telephone and cable TV connections. A barbecue stub-out is included.
Homes feature low-e windows and bear the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star seal of approval. Homes also come with two patented insect control services from Home Team Pest Defense. The systems are installed during construction.
StoneBrook is characterized by wide streets and greenbelts, according to George. Neighborhood amenities include a park with playground equipment and a picnic area with a barbecue.
Situated in the heart of North Las Vegas, StoneBrook is about 6.5 miles from Nellis Air Force Base. Newer schools surround the area and Carroll M. Johnston Middle School is within walking distance. The neighborhood affords access to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, Interstate 15 and shopping centers.
Centex Homes offers incentive programs to educators, healthcare providers, firefighters and law enforcement personnel.
