   The slim little pink-and-black volume by Jodi Kahn (2005, Peter Pauper Press) can slip into the sleekest clutch, but this tiny book is packed with tips, from dressing elegantly to hosting a party to breaking up with someone. Yes, there’s a way to do that with class — well, to try to, anyway.
   Elegance is a lot of things. It’s a state of mind. It’s simplicity. And, famously, “elegance is refusal," in the words of Vogue’s legendary Diana Vreeland. And it’s a more reachable goal, thanks to this petite treasure of a book.
