Clubhouse at Northern Terrace hosts holiday fun
December 16, 2007 - 10:00 pm
The Club at Northern Terrace, a $3.5 million clubhouse in the Meritage Homes community in the northwestern valley, will be a gathering spot for residents throughout the holiday season, the builder said.
"We're celebrating the classic Christmas," said Chet Obidzinski, leisure services coordinator. "The Club is the perfect place for our residents to gather and celebrate the season."
Designed with a tile entry and rich wood tones, the clubhouse has been decorated for the season with traditional holly wreaths and a touch of cranberry. To top off the festive décor, a 71/2-foot holiday tree stands in the entertainment lounge.
"We have a very intimate community setting here," Obidzinski said. "I see our events and the décor of the clubhouse as a perfect match to the neighborhoods around us. Meritage has constructed homes here in Northern Terrace that are both luxurious and genuinely warm."
According to Obidzinski, it is the warmth of The Club staff, as well as the setting, that has infused Northern Terrace with holiday spirit. In addition to events for residents such as the upcoming holiday Mix and Mingle and The Great Elf Escape, an afternoon when residents can drop off children for planned crafts, activities and refreshments while parents go out for last-minute shopping, the Northern Terrace Homeowners Association is collecting canned goods along with new, unwrapped toys to donate to the Mix 94.1 FM radio seasonal charity drive.
"This community would not be complete this season without taking part not only in celebrating but in giving back," Obidzinski said.
The Club at Northern Terrace features a full kitchen adjacent to the entertainment lounge. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. Additional clubhouse amenities include three swimming pools with spa, fitness center, outdoor barbecue area, party room with big screen television and children's indoor and outdoor play areas.
The surrounding Providence master plan complements Northern Terrace with a network of neighborhood parks, trails and paseos.
"Like our homes, gatherings at The Club are made for families," Obidzinski said. "From our yoga classes to our seasonal events, our goal here is to continue to build a community. Our parties, movie screenings and resident events are all a part of the lifestyle at Northern Terrace."
