Coming Sunday: Jan Lindsey’s fall from grace
Jan Lindsey was a decorated Vietnam veteran and career FBI agent – not exactly the type of guy you see getting involved in the anti-tax protest movement.
When he was arrested in March 2009 and charged with evading $109,000 in personal income taxes through a series of zero-filer dodges, Lindsey made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The arrest shed light on a man who had served his country well before tumbling into a fringe element with links to the Sovereign Movement, segments of which fill the blogosphere with talk of overthrowing the Tax Code and the government along with it.
Lindsey’s July sentencing is the subject of Sunday’s column in the Review-Journal.
